Former border agents: Immigration flood is ‘orchestrated’

As I touched on a few days ago, there appears to be a coordinated effort behind the scenes which is driving thousands of children and teenagers to leave their home countries in Central and South America to seek amnesty in the United States.

After witnessing what has been occurring in recent months, a group called the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers (NAFBPO) is sounding an alarm calling this influx an “orchestrated and contrived assault.”

In a statement released on June 10, NAFBPO says the following in reference to the recent influx of children crossing the border:

“This is not a humanitarian crisis. It is a predictable, orchestrated and contrived assault on the compassionate side of Americans by her political leaders that knowingly puts minor Illegal Alien children at risk for purely political purposes.”

The term “orchestrated” is one I’ve been uttering in recent days because it appears as more evidence comes forward, there is in fact a coordinated effort between many Central American countries to push children toward the Southern border of the United States. According to news reports, some countries are advertising that amnesty will be granted to children crossing the U.S. border:

KRGV Channel 5, in the border town of McAllen, Texas, reported that migrants from Central American countries like Guatemala are hearing news reports at home that mothers with children are being welcomed in the U.S. with plane and bus tickets to the interior. [Emphasis added]

And where are the news outlets in Central America getting the idea that the U.S. is open to all comers?

From the White House, says Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

“It is a direct consequence of the presidents illegal actions,” he said, according to Breitbart. “The parents think, ‘If I send my child [to the U.S.], my child will have amnesty.’ That’s what the president of the U.S. has said. It is the exact opposite of a humane approach to immigration or to securing our borders.”

Currently there is a perfect storm of U.S. immigration policy, economic conditions in Central America, and a desire by many U.S. politicians to see some form of immigration reform passed which includes amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. In this scenario, thousands of these children are being sent, by their families and home governments, to the United States with the hope that they will be granted amnesty and their families will also be welcome into the country behind them.

The Obama administration’s response has not been a desire to stem the tide and end the danger to these children, rather it has been a behind-the-scenes operation to feed and house them on U.S. Military bases around the country. As Michelle Malkin noted, destinations as far away as Massachusetts are being setup to accept the influx of children:

A source tipped me off last week to a curious occurrence: It seems that two planeloads of illegal aliens were recently shipped to Massachusetts. The first reportedly landed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford. According to my tipster, approximately 160 illegal immigrants arrived on that flight and stayed nearly a week before being transferred to a Department of Homeland Security site and then released.

The second flight reportedly was diverted from Hanscom to Boston’s Logan Airport this past weekend. I am told that both Massachusetts and New Hampshire officials were on hand. I reached out to Hanscom AFB for confirmation, but did not receive a call back by my deadline.

The federal government appears to have no inclination in ushering an end to this influx since news of catch-and-release by Homeland Security will surely produce more illegal immigration.
