TIPTON, Iowa – Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards said on Sunday that his universal health care proposal would require that Americans go to the doctor for preventive care.
“It requires that everybody be covered. It requires that everybody get preventive care,” he told a crowd sitting in lawn chairs in front of the Cedar County Courthouse. “If you are going to be in the system, you can’t choose not to go to the doctor for 20 years. You have to go in and be checked and make sure that you are OK.”
How can I put this mildly? That’s the most socialistic big government plan I’ve ever seen. This man would support requiring people to have preventive care doctor visits! When will these moron socialists realize that they cannot force government funded health care on everyone? It’s just their government-dependent supporters who would enjoy letting the ultra-efficient and well-run federal government be in charge of their health care.
“The whole idea is a continuum of care, basically from birth to death,” he said.
The whole idea, from a socialist-democrat standpoint, is for the federal government to take care of everyone from birth to death. Such a sickening prospect and people support it because nobody wants to take personal responsibility and John Edwards has “nice hair”.
The former North Carolina senator said all presidential candidates talking about health care “ought to be asked one question: Does your plan cover every single American?”
John Edwards is a loon, he has entirely lost his mind. Does he, and other Democrats for that matter, realize that they are trying to simply force big government solutions on a problem that they are blowing out of proportion?
Check out Health Care Lie: ’47 Million Uninsured Americans’:
Each of these people and media outlets incorrectly claimed the number of uninsured to be 40 to 50 million Americans. The actual total is open to debate. But there are millions of people who should be excluded from that tally, including: those who aren’t American citizens, people who can afford their own insurance, and people who already qualify for government coverage but haven’t signed up.
Government statistics also show 45 percent of those without insurance will have insurance again within four months after job transitions.
Accounting for all those factors, one prominent study places the total for the long-term uninsured as low as 8.2 million – a very different reality than the media and national health care advocates claim.
8.2 million, not 46 million like the Democrats continually shove down everyone’s throat. John Edwards is going to force everyone to use crappy government health care because 8.2 million people out of 300 million people are uninsured for the long-term. I am included in that number and, God forbid, my wife and I pay out of pocket for care because it’s cheaper than insurance in New York.
Big government socialist morons like to use this issue to promote bigger government and produce more generations of government-dependent Americans.
To John Edwards: No, thank you.
