University Lets Students Self-Identify As ‘Person Of Color’

That’s it, folks, we have reach the pinnacle of progressivism where everyone is allowed to “self-identify” as whatever they want. No longer are we bound by any kind of reality when we can just print forms with check-boxes to change it. Do you feel like a man or woman today? No problem, just check this box. Do you feel like a “person of color” today? No issue here, just fill out this form and explain how difficult it has been living in “white society” since you realized you think your’re someone else. Heck, why not let students “self-identify” what their final grade should be like a professor did in Georgia? The insanity is driving rational people to apathy.

The offender, in this case, is self-identified as Brown University, which is now allowing students to self-identify as a “person of color” on their graduate admissions applications, according to The College Fix:

Brown University is implementing a change to its graduate school application that will allow applicants to “self-identify” as persons of color. Multiple efforts by The College Fix to clarify the details of this change were ignored by campus officials.

The policy comes as a result of complaints made by graduate students on the Graduate School advisory board that international and Asian American students are not treated as members of historically underrepresented groups by the university, according to The Brown Daily Herald.

What could go wrong? Here’s the funniest line:

How allowing applicants to self-identify as persons of color will affect policy relating to the diversity initiatives, and whether the university will take any steps to verify applicants’ self-identification, remain unclear. [Emphasis added]

So if I self-identify as a person of color, the university will try to verify my self-identification? Or maybe they won’t because trying to verify that fact in itself is totally racist. How can you define what someone “identifies” as? Some people identify as werewolves. Can they apply for a dorm room with a cave?

Rachel Dolezal has finally been vindicated when she said “the idea of race is a lie.” If it’s a lie, then anyone who feels somehow oppressed should simply change their “self-identity” to “white” and we’ll get the problem solved immediately. Then again, that would instantly make them part of the problem, wouldn’t it?
