Eric ‘Fast & Furious’ Holder worried about gun safety

Speaking to a House appropriations subcommittee last week, Attorney General Eric Holder let Congress in on a few ideas he and Vice President Biden, an esteemed firearms expert, have been kicking around in the gun safety department. As the result of a meeting with a “group of technology people,” the Attorney General believes that implementing gun safety bracelets could be the wave of the future in protecting your Second Amendment rights. Yes, I said protecting.

“By making them either through finger print identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.”

The Attorney General didn’t go into detail and expound upon how this type of technology would interfere with the Justice Department’s Mexican gun-running program. I can only assume, perhaps, that the bracelet would accompany the weapon into Mexico where it would then enable drug cartel thugs to murder border agents and civilians. As a bonus, the weapon would be useless to other cartel thugs should the original cartel thug misplace it.

The kicker to this story is how General Holder explained that this technology would help protect the Second Amendment by keeping firearms safe for use (emphasis added):

“It’s those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore so that we can make sure that people have the ability to enjoy their Second Amendment rights, but at the same time decreasing the misuse of weapons that lead to the kinds of things that we see on a daily basis,” Holder said. [Emphasis added]

As the Attorney General points out, this technology only helps to foster and protect your right to own a gun. Without some type of bracelet or fingerprint technology, the Second Amendment will have to be repealed since it is not possible to keep firearms from being misused (by the Justice Department).

I’m a bit shocked he gave this testimony with a straight face. Clearly the only people who this would affect are the people already not committing crimes with their firearms. The black market for pre-bracelet weapons would thrive and criminals would, of course, get weapons by whatever means necessary, as they already do today. On the other hand, if the Vice President is on board, who am I to question the plan?

Perhaps Mr.Holder can also come up with a device that would keep the SECRET SERVICE AGENTS ZIPPER CLOSED while out on assignment?

The number of times these incidents are being reported is becoming “FAST AND FURIOUS”!

    Attorney General says:

“By making them either through finger print identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.”

That’s “lawfully in possession of the weapon.”
Situation my arise were previous “lawfully” approval NOW ISN’T.

I hear a photo posted on line can trace where the photo was taken. SOME technology. Same for cars, and mobile phones.

What IF ability to hold harmless a gun with this new technology TO ANYONE. Official press a button & weapon IS USELESS. EVEN to owner…

In light of the attack in the Penn.high school I’m waiting for Attorney General Holder to propose that “ALL KITCHEN KNIVES” will be equipped with a activating bracelet before they can be used.

Let’s think about the good AG’s proposal for a moment. Obviously he wouldn’t want the bracelet to be stored with the weapon because then if children get access to the weapon they also would have the bracelet. Soooooo if a criminal breaks into your home you not only have to find the key to your locked up weapon but also go through the house and find the key to your bracelet. All the time you’re yelling to the perpetrator “wait, wait I’ll be right there to stop you”. Doesn’t this futile exercise negate the purpose of having protection? Or is that the intention of Mr.Holders agenda?
