Democrats: ObamaCare is the “platform” for Single-Payer

Representative John Conyers (D-Mich.), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, opened the bag and shoved the cat out of it with a swift kick in the rear regarding whether or not Democrats view the current ObamaCare health care “reform” law as the first step to full-fledged, Government-run single-payer health care. In short, the answer is a resounding “YES” for Democrats.

Report from CNS News:

(CNSNews.com) – Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, told CNSNews.com today that the health-care law that President Barack Obama signed last March is a “platform” for building a single-payer health care system in the United States.

During a newsmakers program at the National Press Club on Monday, Conyers said that after discussing the issue with Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D.-Ohio) he voted for the health-care law because he saw it as a necessary “platform” for building toward a single-payer health-care system in the United States.

Again though, back during the debate, we were assured that ObamaCare would not in any way move the United States toward a government-run health care system. Instead, it was about improved freedom and choice.

Conyers simply admitted what I and millions of other Americans already knew back in 2008/2009. ObamaCare is the platform on which the Government-run single-payer system will be built. The goal is to put private insurance out of business and force everyone onto the “public” Government plan. Nothing to hide anymore so Conyers let it all hang out.

    That is a given…

Government has proven what a terrific job they have done with S/S, Medicare, and Medicaid. Their piggy banks are figments of our imagination.

Children of Grand Ma Jones will call Nancy Pelosi and say Granny is not getting the care she needs. If election time, what’s she going to do.

The tally I believe is 1,000 companies exempt from obamacare regulations. With a lot of unions in that list. We know Cadillac health plans are waved for years for unions members. Idea of spreading cost to lower cost is on the dirty Democrat floor. Politics is killing that idea, as if it needed help to fail…

    Hey Nate.

Why is Obama Hate Machine Article still on here But you removed Republican Hate Machine?

  • I have been surfing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like
yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
