I hear ya Bill.

I am dumbfounded by the fact that there are still people running around celebrating Obama, even still, after the announcement of cap and trade, and socialized medicine. I don't get it. I suppose the masses are blind and/or ignorant.

Answer is foreclosure if financially only way. Then who buys from bank. may be loss cause to bank ??? Did anybody think this through ??? Only real answer is stop bill. Inflation is coming. Poor can't buy cheap upgraded home. Can't afford recently bought upgraded rental. owners of rental of couse raise rent, even without improvements. Someday they will want to sell. How stupid are they suppose to be...

Write offs helps. But don't pay for cost. Will pay for self over years. Can hope for cost raise property value. Hope they don't have to sell for new job or loss job.

I totally agree. Here in St. Petersburg, Florida, there are tons of old homes, I can not imagine how much it would cost to modernize them all under the cap and trade legislation. People who buy homes simply to rent them and make money would likely end up having to sell because they could not afford to do the renovations on them all.

I did not catch Bill last few days. This Man has geeat first name though.

Anyone living in older home, may never be able to sell if this is passed

I am not a building regulation expert, but this seems to be new.. Forcing undo hardship. Can a owner of 50-100 year old home afford to update with this new standard if they wish to sell. I think not. Unless rich.

Bill O'Reilly state the facts that you give with your post Bill.

It's rather disturbing. I will surely be calling my representative to trash this horrible piece of garbage legislation.

If I want to update my home, I will do so. If I want a credit for it, I will write it off as home improvement. Death to this legislation.

I have been trying to find the TRUE CAP AND TRADE REASON. Trying to follow the money trail. Could this be it...

"Cap and trade, in other words, is a scheme to redistribute income and wealth -- but in a very curious way. It takes from the working class and gives to the affluent; takes from Miami, Ohio, and gives to Miami, Florida; and takes from an industrial America that is already struggling and gives to rich Silicon Valley and Wall Street "green tech" investors who know how to leverage the political class"

" A tenured faculty position, with its academic freedom, represents a wonderful opportunity to change directions, study different things, and make new contributions. Of course, I still have no funding for my new studies either, but I'm doing what I can with the $300/year Duke provides my research program."

9/22/2008

I would like to check his sources. For some reason I can not find them in these links. He has PHD. so must be my error in not finding.

$300 research from Duke says a lot about this man. In his place I would have omitted that fact if he wrote it.

He mentions ( I don't meaning in depth either) nuclear cooling caused by dust. I dare say volcanic eruptions have cooled earth more and is not mention.

I did not notice 7 year cycle of Sun, ice found thicker at poles, ocean cooler last 10 years, or anything on ozone layers.

I may have missed some things I say is not there, that is. However his lack of links to back his statistics really brought little credibility to him in my eyes.

I respect him less than Al Gore if that is possible. At a Congressional hearing Al was talking. A Congress showed graph of Al's home carbon print. Was not good.

President Bush home in Texas had low carbon print and was what Al house should have been. President Bush added many environmental things to White House, though not as Public as Obama has recently.

If one studies the geology of earth, she has undergone many changes Africa, for instance, has gone from full jungle and near none long before man. Glacier have expanded and recede long before mankind.

Meteors and volcanoes have thrown dust into the air causing climate changes world wide as well as causing distinction of Hugh numbers of living species.

I know that in poles ice cores are taken. In it, carbon levels can give historic records from the past. I have never seen that information used to support global warming or new term global change. There is reason warming was changed. If those cored supported, it would be limelighted on regular bases.

Years ago it was blasted by new there was hole in ozone. I went to work at health department and mentioned to big shot in air control wishing to impress. They laughed in m face. I learned new satilight just went up. That old one did not measure zero ozone. So zero could be a norm and not recent.

My point being many unknown factors. Many know facts ignored. To say

"What cap-and-trade does is eliminate the subsidy on fossil fuels. Future costs — economic problems due to climate change — are not’t borne by fossil fuel extractors, thus are not’t folded into the costs consumers pay"

is bull.

I will run my comment though check spelling. I will not organize it better. Frankly, this subject matter bores me. And Bill Wilson bores me more than Al Gore.

And Al I hate. He was shamed into lowering his energy usage at home. He fly around in personal jet.He claimed he would not profit from his ecological quest, which is lie...

If co2 is a worry, which I am not saying it is at all, plant marry jane instead of trees. One acre of this grass will produce more oxygen than one acres of trees. Plus you can make paper, shoes, clothes, etc from grass. And they have plants that are no good for getting high.

Bill Gates may become 1st $ gazillionaire because of alternative energy. He invested heavily in this many decades ago.Hydrogen does pollute. Not from exhaust of car because that is clean drinking water. But from the manufacture of that fuel. Some day soon a windmill may produce hydrogen with no pollution. My point being, Industrial revolution occurred when knowledge and practicality meet. Same hold true for tech. age. Same will hold for alternative energy.

False price tag on oil and coal.False fuel additive from kernel corn. Mocks real alternative energy. When technology matches the energy, then success.

The cap is important: the whole point of the system is to fold future costs of burning fossil fuels into present costs, get our carbon emissions under control, and hopefully mitigating the economic costs of climate change. Certainly there are deniers reading this comment, so I refer you to some science I've posted on my site, sciencetime.org.

The 'Cap And Tax' Dead End
By Sarah Palin
Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Welp, Sarah Palin comes out today to repeat things that have already been all over the news and the internet. I suppose she has to start somewhere, eh? Is this what she plans to do now? Become a political commentator? That's just what we need, another Ann Coulter.

California spends $5.6billion on illegals? and they want money from the government because they need some 24billion? psssh

You spend money on health care, education, ect on illegals, that is your own problem. Rid yourself of the illegal through laws such as the one that I commented on above, and you wont find yourself in such financial problems.

The whole, illegals coming over, dumping new borns, and we flip the bill is outrageous as well. I say deport parents and new born, as this is obvious a plot illegals use to get here. How can we allow ourselves to be raped financially by people who are committing sch a crime (Coming here when you know you're pregnant, knowingly having the baby here to try and get citizenship). I am compassionate towards all people, but when you do such a thing to us financially with no intentions on paying taxes and being productive citizens, I say GO HOME!

So Justice Ginsburg says that thew Connecticut test was bad because it had a writing section and writing and firefighting do not go hand in hand? That is was unfair to blacks to have a writing section on the promotion test? Holy thatscompletebul Batman!

Now she is already a supreme court justice? Now that is just wrong. This is the first time I have seen the truth in that horrible way we choose supreme court justices. I am all for diversity and justice being brought to this country on the behalf of minorities as we have created such a controversial playground with our history. I am NOT for turn the majority into the minority and outcasting them.

If we had not had slavery, and if this country had NOT treated non-whites so poorly, we would not be in this position today. Now how do we fix this problem? Will we always have racial and cultural issues on such a grand stage? Until all races and cultures in the US simply love one another the way a "Christian Nation" should, the answer is YES, we will always have this problem.

Obama faces a new push to look back.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/13/us/politics/13intel.html

Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, said on “Meet the Press” on NBC that despite his dismay at the Central Intelligence Agency’s past interrogation methods, including waterboarding, he opposed a criminal inquiry into torture, which he said would “harm our image throughout the world.”

I am thinking the opposite. Wouldn't it strengthen our image in the eyes of the world if we investigate ourselves and prosecute those of us that have committed crimes against other nations? Would it not show the world that we are a "changing" US, that we will no longer commit such crimes and that if we find someone amongst us that does, we will prosecute them?

"Mr. Obama has been eager not to put himself at odds with the military and intelligence agencies. He visited C.I.A. headquarters early in his presidency and blocked the release of photographs of prisoner abuse, saying they could inflame people in Iraq and Afghanistan and endanger American troops."

Sure this is a possibility. But if with these the President also speaks out against such crimes, this will not simply be a display of how the US "tortured people in 2004" and will be a display of how the new administration will not stand for such acts. If law enforcement is simply criminals being sought after by those being criminals, is that what we really want? What would the founders of this nation do?

Obama rethinks health care

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=5128663n

O.k this starts off sounding like Obama wants to ONLY pay Doctors for making actual improvements in the health of patients and not for simply seeing patients. Then towards the end it sounds like they are saying Doctors will still get paid for seeing patients but get BONUS's for actual improvements made.

As long as it is the latter, I am fine with that because making actual improvements in health is NOT something a doctor can do without patient compliance. I am all for giving bonus's to physicians who actually make a change in patients health, keeping them healthy, and preventing unnecessary illness. If you add this to decreased insurance premiums for patients who are making a change in themselves, or simply staying healthy from the state, we'd be onto something here.

If patients and physicians are working together to keep the US healthy and prevent clogging the health care system with people who are unhealthy by choice, this would sound ideal.

If this little news clip is the beginning of taking money away from physicians if their patients are not improving, then we are well on our way to health care DOOM. If Americans want to smoke tobacco, drink excessive alcohol, eat McDonald's everyday and destroy themselves, that is their business, but don't destroy health care along with yourselves.

This has always been my beef with people who live unhealthy lifestyles and thus add to the problem we have with expensive health care and insurance. I understand that we are America the Free, but sometimes freedoms end up hurting everyone else around those who make bad choices with their freedom.

Obama administration becoming laxed on immigration again.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-immig11-2009jul11,0,3562065.story

Law that states that's police can investigate and turn over illegal immigrants to immigration is being weakened. Now Obama administration is saying to only do this in so called serious crimes, not smaller ones. I say anyway to spot and deport someone who is here illegally, go for it.

If someone is not willing to be here legally, they don't need to be here at all, ESPECIALLY if they are committing crimes.

If you follow my link, closed door discussions have occurred. Leaving imagination to cipher that meaning. To surmise possible misdeeds in negotiations. None good for the citizens. I recall a Doctor saying Obama misreprented results of the meeting, though I have not the link at hand.
