I found this to be a very telling article about the state of America and the state of Russia today. The former Soviet Union has learned from the failures of socialism and communism yet too many Americans, due to reeducation and pure ignorance, are all too eager to usher in a new era of the Marxist renewal with President Obama leading the way.
Read this article all the way through, it’s a fascinating take from the Russian online news site Pravda titled American capitalism gone with a whimper:
It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.
Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?
These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.
Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of “pure” free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.
So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a “bold” move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our “wise” Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.
Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper…but a “freeman” whimper.
So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set “fair” maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.
The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.
The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.
Indeed the world which has seen the historical failure of socialist takeovers of the private sector is sitting and snickering at us going down the same road. In a way, they’re probably silently rooting for us to tear down our own economic system piece by piece to give ourselves the socialist handicap.
On the other hand, how sad it must be to watch America, the once great beacon of capitalism and freedom, succumb to the failed socialist policies of the past.
This article nails it on the head with every point about why America is where it is today, and both Republicans and Democrats are too blame. The American people have no long-term perspective, only childish, shortsighted desires for “free health care” and greater government assistance on the backs of working Americans. Rest assured, nothing is “free” as every single one of us will pay the price for these socialist ideas if they are not stopped dead in their tracks and sent packing.
We allow the government to takeover private industries under the false notion that they’re “too big too fail,” yet we are the ones failing to see what this means for our economic liberty. If only more Americans weren’t taking their freedoms and liberties for granted, perhaps they would be more aware when someone is trying to take them.
Some Americans continue to argue in favor of socialism with the “it’s not so bad” attitude, which is even more ridiculous considering history proves just how bad it is if they would only crack a book or do some research. The world does not seek America for it’s socialism, it seeks America for it’s opportunities of free market capitalism and individual liberty, don’t kid yourself. Russia knows it better than most Americans do today.

Sometimes the propaganda you post is so bereft of any logical basis that I just don’t know how any rational person could believe it. The groundwork of the Article here is that America is started to become soviet russian when
A) We developed a crappy public school system (based in pop culture, it claims? seriously?)
B) Churches slowly became less prominent in American life.
C) We elected Barack Obama, and he privatized part of the auto industry
Is there really a continuous string of logic running through these? Are they even related?? And is this really how you think it happened under Stalin? This is just silliness, that’s what it is. I don’t know who’s buying your crazy, but it aint me
I was thinking the same thing, bones. I like how the so called RNC and their blind followers are using the socialism tag line…. I think they took a vote on that the other week.
Gotta love the RNC and their ability to continuously cry socialism. I think they have been using that since McCarthy.
A) Children are not taught the evils of socialism nor are they taught the benefits of capitalism and free markets. They are taught that capitalism corrupts and that government is the solution with social programs. They are taught that social programs and the liberal agenda are facts to live by, there is little diversity in education, only a monolithic liberal-leaning institution from kindergarten to college.
B) God is being taken out of the public arena and the fact that our rights derive from God is being destroyed step-by-step. Government no longer seeks divine inspiration but puts it’s faith in mankind and bigger government. Government believes it can give people hope in their lives and supply their needs instead of their faith. Some people see government as their God now. Sound familiar to the Marxist philosophy? I think so.
C) President Obama has nationalized part of auto-industry and may soon own Citibank. He seeks government and socialist programs first, never looks to the free market or capitalism to solve the nation’s problems. Furthermore, he has a $3.6 trillion budget, $1.8 trillion of which is debt and this is unsustainable madness. We cannot spend our way out of debt, it’s illogical and will lead to inflation, check history, it proves Obama’s socialism wrong.
Makes a lot of sense when you actually examine it honestly.
bones, examine history before you bash this article. Look at the similarities of socialist countries and how they develop. I think you’re the one bereft of logic if you’re unwilling to check the facts before you discard this analysis.
JD, this article wasn’t meant for you. You proved a long time ago you checked your ability to examine things with intellectual honesty at the door. Thus, you laugh at this article when all the while you are the kind of sheeple American he is speaking of, so you’ll never get it. How ironic, I’m glad you chimed in to illustrate it for me. In fact, I wear your dismissive hubris of this article as a badge of honor.
Nate, I’ll fully agree that nationalization of private industries and massive government over-spending are both alarming. I’m not a fan of big government, but our last several presidents have all worked to vastly expand it. So why pretend it started with Obama? He’s just doing it in different ways. Still, I share the concern.
But the rest of this is still beyond me
A) “Children are not taught the evils of socialism nor are they taught the benefits of capitalism and free markets. They are taught that capitalism corrupts and that government is the solution with social programs. They are taught that social programs and the liberal agenda are facts to live by, there is little diversity in education, only a monolithic liberal-leaning institution from kindergarten to college.”
This isn’t what I was taught, and I’m not so old. I’ll admit the school systems are in wretched shape, but unless the syllabus has dramatically changed, this just sounds like rhetoric to me. You’re speaking on your perception of modern American thought, not on what’s actually being taught in the schools.
B) “Government no longer seeks divine inspiration but puts it’s faith in mankind and bigger government. Government believes it can give people hope in their lives and supply their needs instead of their faith. Some people see government as their God now. Sound familiar to the Marxist philosophy? I think so.”
This would be more convincing to me if so many steadfast churchgoers weren’t advocating holding prisoners indefinitely without trial and utilizing inhumane interrogation tactics against them. Or going to war to liberate populations and protect American citizens. Or allowing all that stuff in the Patriot act that allowed the government to infringe on the civil liberties of their citizenry.
Isn’t that just another way of looking to government to keep you instead of God as our ultimate savior? An American government that rights all the wrongs with the world and protects the citizenry from the dangers that their freedoms impose upon them? That’s only ok if we agree, government knows best. Government may be our keeper.
As the primary backers of these things are sometimes known as the “religious right”, I daresay this tendency is not due to a withdrawal of the church.
As I said, I’m concerned about Nationalizing institutions and overspending. But this cry of socialism is hysterical and distracts from the issues. It’s certainly propaganda when it starts the blame with Obama while failing to mention the presidents who preceded him – obviously Obama didn’t even start the trend toward nationalization of private institutions. He’s continuing it and he’s expanding it, but he didn’t start it. Somehow your article fails to mention the republican figures who begun this madness
“He’s continuing it and he’s expanding it, but he didn’t start it. Somehow your article fails to mention the republican figures who begun this madness”
Not true, I’ll quote myself:
It’s impossible to blame 1 man and I spread it around. I am just watching what is happening right now, as we sit here and type. I blame Bush fully for letting the bailout mentality proceed. I also blame other past presidents for buying into progressivism. We are just moving faster in that direction now.
“You’re speaking on your perception of modern American thought, not on what’s actually being taught in the schools.”
Of course this all depends on the school and the individual teachers. However, you have things like the left-wing environmental agenda being heavily pushed in schools with many anti-capitalist undertones as it blames capitalism for global warming, which is absurd. I graduated high school in 2001 and can attest to the liberalism in public schools back then. I had a teacher during the 2000 election openly tell students to go vote for Al Gore. Not just encouraging them to vote, but to vote for a specific Democrat candidate, and this was an English class. I had another teacher who was a total liberal and would only teach negative things about Republicans, she loved Watergate, but wouldn’t speak an ill-word of President Clinton or any other Democrat, it was terribly biased.
On the other hand, I had a great social studies teacher who I knew was a Republican. However, he never pushed his views on the class, never told them who to vote for, simply taught history as it was, not leaving anything out. He was a great teacher because he did not teach his political views, he simply taught objective history.
bones, you make some interesting points and this is a good discussion.
Bones ? has developed great writing skills in his absents. Well done ?
bones ? says” Somehow your article fails to mention the republican figures who begun this madness”
What a common remark Liberals say. This is Obama justification ? Bush, your hated President, is imspiration for your God Obama. ” is so bereft of any logical basis that I just don’t know how any rational person could believe it”
Is anyone going to post the story about the Abortion Dr getting shot and killed in church?
Dreadsen
Do it
Nate, i am glad I stir such emotion in you. however, i am not the only one who thinks America turning to socialism is a crock of crap being sold by the right. You like bringing up History but you realize that McCarthy already tried this.
As for our government needing to get closer to god. I think Bones hit the nail on the head. I just re-read the sermon on the mount and most “so called” Christians i know fall very short and in a bad way.
“however, i am not the only one who thinks America turning to socialism is a crock of crap being sold by the right.”
Again, author’s point vindicated as you sheeple your way through this discussion. Socialist policies abound yet you refuse to acknowledge it or you’re too uneducated on the subject to recognize it, one or the other.
“I just re-read the sermon on the mount and most “so called” Christians i know fall very short and in a bad way.”
Everyone falls short of the glory of God. That doesn’t mean you toss it all out the window. We strive to be the best we can be.
I re-read the sermon on the mount as well. I missed the part about confiscatory taxation, government health care rationing and cost-benefit analysis on the elderly to determine if they deserve treatment or if they should be euthanized at the decision of the government. I also missed the part about government-sponsored abortions and Jesus’ support for partial-birth abortion. I also missed where it says that government is the solution to your life, where you put your hope and faith instead of Christ.
I did read about righteousness, integrity and honesty, two things lacking from government. I also read about building on the rock, on the solid foundation. This seems to speak to the financial situation our government is currently in with $1.8 trillion in debt, that sounds like sand to me. I also read about Jesus asking his followers to do charitable deeds, not give their money to the government so the government can waste it. Charitable deeds through community groups, churches and simply helping your neighbor. You getting off your couch and helping others.
Yes, I read a lot of things in the sermon on the mount, none of which supports liberalism, socialism, big government or anything else you said, JD.
It supports our individual faith in God and our individual rights given to us by God. We’re commanded to live the most Christian life we can live, not live for the government.
first off Nate… you did it again.
“Socialist policies abound yet you refuse to acknowledge it or you’re too uneducated on the subject to recognize it, one or the other.”
We have social programs but that does not make us socialist nation. All or nothing with you. Is it that we either go 100% capitalism and if we are not than we are 100% socialistic?
As for religion… Let me begin by saying that I believe there are great values found in all religions. The question is if we should have a religious government and if we do which religion is it and what version of that religion do we pick.
I believe, like our founding fathers, that there should be a separation of church and state. The moral decay in America happened when people stopped the pursuit of happiness and went to pursuit of money.
The real question is if people were doing what they are suppose to and helping thy neighbor when they need help and giving to the poor, turning the other cheek, and so on and so forth… would our government need to step in?
If certain CEOs practiced debt free or balanced debt business, were less greedy, and so on and so forth… would government ever have had to step in??
JD JD JD
You really should stay away from discussing the Bible__
” I just re-read the sermon on the mount and most “so called” Christians i know fall very short and in a bad way.”
Being Christian does not give some perfecion. You need to read on in the Bible. Many not saved lead decent lives. Except for our savation, we all fall short.
My advise, don’t quote or discuss what you don’t know.
JD said__”If certain CEOs practiced debt free or balanced debt business, were less greedy, and so on and so forth… would government ever have had to step in??”
Let’s talk about our present situation. There are many factors of course. I will be specific instead of all generality as in your quote. Examples help JD..Footnotes,etc.
Bill Clinton signed bill to help poor get homes. Gosh, this has been discussed many times on this site. Funding was provided and F/F were REQUIRED to assist__”sub-prine”. Jimmy Carer and many others were into this. Come on JD, you know this. Remember Frank, Dodds as most noteable. Remember Bush and McCain warned ?
Because of government we have this mess. Government encouraged business. Did business do wrong. Yes. Did government cause lots of problem. Yes.
High muliples to investment was another reason for major fall. That too, allowed by government. Example_ Bank has $10, can loan out say $50.
You quote is so funny, really. Obama will put America so far in debt. Equal to all Presidents in our history.
And you dare say “If certain CEOs practiced debt free or balanced debt business”. Replace Preesident with CEO. LARGE amout of Obama’s spending has not been spent yet. Signs economy is improving as you have pointed out so many times. Market is up which is where business is suppose to get financing. Some companies want to pay loan money back if government allows.
Time for Obama to reinforce social security and work on balancing the budget like Bill Clinton___Wait__Those things did not happen til Newt and majority Republican controlled Congress took over. Bill fought balanced budget.
Maybe you will be able to vote for ” balanced debt business” if Newt, Palin, or others run in four. Cross your fingers JD…
There is hope. Obama and I are both “lefties”
JD said “Gotta love the RNC and their ability to continuously cry socialism. I think they have been using that since McCarthy”
Then that makes Obama and liberals following in Hitler’s shoes.
The article started off great I was all for it, but as I read more, and become more and more silly.
Kendale Sturdivent
You certainly proved your point. Not. No quotes, example, or or logical reasons. Just “silly”
