Do we all remember back when the Saudi King visited President George W. Bush’s ranch a while ago down in Texas? We all remember the controversy over how “close” they were?
Right.
Well in Turkey, we saw Obama do this:
He bowed to Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah and we haven’t heard much about it. The press defends him while they slaughtered Bush for greeting Abdullah at his ranch way back when.
I know, Obama isn’t an oil barren launching wars for oil so it’s fine that he bowed, right? Just showing respect, right?
Can imagine if Bush bowed to Abdullah? The press would have a field day saying we’re submitting to Saudi Arabia for oil.
Perhaps Bush was showing respect as well? Could be? No, of course not!

(the head nod apparently counts as a bow). King Abdullah must have a more special place in Obama’s heart with that full bend of the waist bow he gave him. An American representative of the Saudi royal family helped pay for his Harvard law school education”.

Good point you bring up, Nate. This is blatant hypocrisy. I think Bush deserved scrutiny for his relationship with the Arab leaders, but Obama just as much so.
