Yes, America made mistakes. I won’t drag that in here. Muddies the water. We and the World have gone through many Recessions. Normal….Things go up and down. Mistakes happen

So throwing money at the system will solve the problem? Kel, I think you’re missing the fact that Obama is throwing money at it to eventually try and pass socialized health care. He is not trying to help the private system, he’s trying to replace it.

It also attempts to improve issues like healthcare — an intial influx of cash and investment into healthcare will make the system less expensive in the long run.

Tennessee Republican Lamar Alexander called it “the biggest vote of the year” so far, and he’s right. This means Majority Leader Harry Reid can’t jam cap and tax through as part of this year’s budget resolution with a bare majority of 50 Senators. Senators voting in favor of the 60-vote rule included liberals from Wisconsin, Michigan and West Virginia. There were several admendments concerning the cap and trade, as soon as I get a few minutes I’ll find them and post them. On was a republican amendment that passed just after Boxer’s Amendment – it passed with only 5 or dems voting against it. Said any cap and trade legally canNOT increase the cost of energy or gasoline.

Congress signed on to his budget and passed the goals Obama wants to achieve in his budget like socialized health care. Now they will squabble over the details but this essentially means they have approved his budget.

The budget, by definition, won’t be passed until April. This was the vote agreeing that they will be approving Obama’s budget once they hammer the details.

Therefore, they have approved his budget.
