But in reality, she had turned down assistance time and again because it wasn't totally FREE. She was given 3 months free rent on an apartment that would have cost her $400 per month after the free 3 months - she turned it down because she said she couldn't afford the rent since her disability check was only $600 a month. She was offered free job training - she turned that down also. She did accept the food stamps, and the free lodging that she was given as a result of her performance with Obama, however. Go figure. In some states the intruder can actually sue you if injury occurs in YOUR house. I'm originally from NY state and in one of my law classes we studied a case in NY of a man who broke into a house, when he was exiting the home with the owners belongings the intruder fell and broke his leg on the the freshly mopped floor. The intruder sued, won the case and damages were rewarded. I could not believe what I was reading. My brother-in-law use who worked security for a casino in Vegas and saw two cars get into an accident, both men got out and started arguing. One man starting beating the other with a pipe, the man who was being beat ran back to his car to retrieve his gun, shot the man with the pipe dead. When the cops arrived they took the man with the guns statement, it was clear self defense and the cops released him with no charges pressed. What a difference in states. Remember the man last year who killed the two intruders who were breaking into his neighbors house? The courts found him not guilty. God bless Texas! Bill you are 100% correct. Well I'm sad to say that I was right. Now most people hate lawyers..blah...blah...blah...but the truth is, they are there to make sure that their client understands the terms of any contract, to act in the best interest of the client. The states with the highest foreclosure rates, NV,FA etc do not require an attorney for the buyer at closing. So if your not going to read the paper work b/c some are just to lazy (admit it) to go through and take your time and read what your contractually obligated to pay, then you need an attorney to do the leg work for you. This is why the legal profession will always be lucrative, the attorney has a fiduciary duty to act on your behalf. Why is an organization like ACORN still around? They should be shut down by now, shouldn't they? Oh that's right, there in the pockets of every democratic congressmen, senator and yes our President. Good times! All I can say is this, if someone broke into my house, the house I purchased and personally hold the deed to, my second amendment right would be thoroughly explored.
