It’s been a few months since the election and now a few weeks since the inauguration. Our original plan was to be up and running by this time with a new website address and non-year-specific name of You Decide Politics.
The time has come and in the next few days and weeks we’ll be switching over. Most everything should happen this weekend barring technical difficulties which will be ironed out. Never fear since once the switch is complete, you’ll be automatically forwarded to the new site and address if you visit the old site or ANY old post.
All existing content will exist on the new site and automatically forward to the correct address, hopefully.
So thank you to those who have stuck around discussing here and there. Sorry for the delay but we’re getting back in the saddle after time off spent focusing on other things, like a career.

Daley refuses to release stimulus project list

Mayor Richard Daley said today Chicago has compiled a wish list of “shovel-ready projects” to spend federal economic stimulus funds on should Congress approve a plan.
Unlike hundreds of other cities, however, Daley said Chicago won’t make its list public.
“Yes, we do, we have our list, we’ve been talking to people. We did not put that out publicly because once you start putting it out publicly, you know, the newspapers, the media is going to be ripping it apart,” Daley said.

Leader Boehner Questions White House Takeover of U.S. Census Bureau
Nonpartisan Census Should Remain Independent of Politics, Republican Leader Says
Washington, Feb 6 – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement regarding reports that control of the U.S. Census Bureau will be stripped from the Department of Commerce and placed with the White House staff:
“I am disturbed by reports that control of the traditionally nonpartisan Census Bureau is being stripped from the Commerce Department and placed with the White House staff. This action appears to be motivated by politics, rather than the interests of our country, and the burden will be on the new administration to prove otherwise during Senator Gregg’s confirmation hearings. The United States Census should remain independent of politics; it should not be directed by political operatives working out of the White House.”
This is beyond preposterous.
Do we really want former ACORN thugs activists, like Messrs Obama and Emanuel, running the US Census?
Where is the outrage?

Obama is trying to save us from “The Great Depression” with PORK STIMULAS BILL. GIving us needed tennis courts, fishing piers,new government cars, etc… Why do you want to be in charge of counting people ?? Couldn’t be political ?? Are you transparent about this ?
