Some of the current 5-day computer projections for Tropical Storm Gustav have it hitting New Orleans as a Category 3 hurricane on Monday mid-day, just as the Twin Cities festivities get under way. You know that the MSM would bring back the Katrina memories, big time. I'd bet that the GOP leadership has the Christian right praying full time to alter that storm track! If not, Governor Jindal might well be changing his plans for Wednesday night.

If I understand your question right, Dreadsen, I do think McCain and all his bosses knew how to manipulate public opinion to not question him, even though he was born in Panama.

I considered Bob Barr until I read that he's flip-flopped on how much power the executive branch should have and that he has favored unconstitutional causes with the ACLU. Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party is many times better and has no scandal attached to his name.

C.S.

I do vaguely remember them trying to change the constitution around so you wouldn't have to be a natural born citizen to run for president. But it was unsuccessful.

Do you think that is why McCain wasn't in the cone of silence? So he could have a heads up and stack his deck?

And what is wrong with Bob Barr?

They're loyal to the global agenda, to merge every country of the world into one entity. I thought of three things that changed Americans' feelings about McCain from spite to warmth:

1. The media giants like Anderson Cooper were forced, despite vocal complaints, to release Rev. Wright's offensive statements. It kept Hillary in the race and made McCain more popular.
2. Hillary and Obama mudslinging: it made McCain look dignified.
3. The Rick Warren faith forum, an utter farce, made McCain look like a tough guy who never compromises and believes in American freedom.

If people knew the history of the Rothschilds, they would run from McCain at the news that he visited them in March. Arnold Schwarzenegger visited the Rothschild manor in England before becoming governor, and it was later revealed that they discussed his future presidential run that early on (which thankfully didn't succeed due to the Constitutional requirement of being a natural-born citizen). The Rothschilds can make or break anybody. They gave Napoleon and Otto von Bismarck their careers. And it takes no genius to see that those sickos have used Rick Warren and his faith forum farce to prepare for the end of the US Constitution.

This isn't the Republican Convention it is the "Neo Conservative" Convention.

C.S. I feel the same way you do but it happened to me during Clinton's era a little bit. I used to listen to a lot of Right wing talk radio and they exposed a lot of atrocities that Bill Clinton did which was going under cover. I researched it and a lot of it checked out to be true while the rest of it was just over inflated bull. But i noticed once Bush got in office he did a lot of the things Clinton got criticized for but even worse. Yet the same talking heads were defending him! That is what i call letting your party tell you how to think. Republican party has almost become like an independent democratic party in many senses and it's stupid that someone could be a life long republican and not see how the party has changed drastically. If you were with a party no matter what party it is because you believed in it's principles and values you should not be such a loyalist when they abandon those principles. But what begs the question is. What are they exactly being loyal to?

I don't know why it took me so terribly long to see that the Republican Party is no better than the Democrat Party. The Republican Party just claims to be "conesrvative". People should forget everything their news media says about who is conservative and who is liberal; take a look at how neither side is fully on track with the Constitution. "Conservatives" advocate interventionism, and they have ever since Dwight Eisenhower and William F. Buckley, Jr. steered them down that path. "Liberals" advocate interventionism IN PEOPLE'S LIVES, to an excess that FDR didn't even surpass. PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP AND LOOK AT THE HYPOCRISY OF BOTH PARTIES. Check out Chuck Baldwin as a candidate!
