Video: Clinton, Obama React To South Carolina

I don’t think there’s anything more perfect than to get reactions from the big South Carolina winner and the big South Carolina loser all in one post!

Keeping with that, here is the video of Barack Obama’s entire interview this morning on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos in 3 parts from YouTube:

Obama played it as if he’s above it all, and maybe he is compared to the Clinton’s. If he can continue this message he’ll have some momentum heading into the Super Tuesday states. That being said, I don’t think it will take him to the nomination, Hillary is just too popular in the larger states. Without a dramatic shift, he’s going to have a tough time.

Next, here’s the video of Hillary Clinton’s entire interview this morning on Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer:

News report on the appearance from AFP:

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (AFP) — Hillary Clinton admitted Sunday her husband Bill’s hard-charging campaign tactics had gone overboard, but chalked the ex-president’s fiery broadsides up to love and a chronic lack of sleep.

A day after rival Barack Obama trounced her in the South Carolina primary, the former first lady also mounted a vigorous defense of the two Clinton White House terms, which Obama has said did not spark transformational change.

Clinton was asked on CBS television’s “Face the Nation” whether her husband was “out of control” after he took the Illinois senator, and the media to task, during a foul-tempered week-long campaign.

“You know, my husband has such a great commitment to me and to my campaign,” the New York senator said.

She’s playing to the national stage now which had been the background strategy all along. In fact, I’d say since Iowa, they have been focused more long term on Super Tuesday and the bigger states.

  1. Nobody wants to admits that Hillary as President is a violation on term limits. But her term will be run pretty much the same way that it was run when her husband was president. This is what Obama is saying in an off-handed way. Well put Obama. With all the people in this country, can’t we find families other than the Bushes and the Clintons to run this country? Please let’s move on and change the people running this country for almost a generation now. Doesn’t anyone else see the problem here?
People want change, so let’s do it.

  2. I’m sorry, I’m extremely upset about Hillary touting her Michigan “victory” (40% of Michigan Democrats came out to vote AGAINST HER). She’s trying to get people to pay attention to Florida. If she had won last night, she wouldn’t be talking about Florida.

She’s the epitome of political expediency, and she’ll get STOMPED in November over the fact that her record in Bill’s presidency (which she’s RUNNING ON) is still locked away in the National Achives and Clinton’s library, aka the Fort Knox in Little Rock.
