Starting at 9pm eastern time, 6pm pacific, the remaining Republican candidates will square off on MSNBC live from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton on Thursday, 1/24/08.

FORT LAUDERDALE — Republican presidential candidates attempting to break through and win the largest state prize to date are trying to use the promise of tax cuts to their advantage.
The questions of which taxes to cut and by how much figure to come up tonight as the five remaining GOP contenders debate at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. It will be their only faceoff before next week’s primary.
A credit crunch and drops in the stock market have made the economy a major topic for both parties. It has special resonance in Florida, where Tuesday’s ballot includes a statewide referendum designed to restrict property tax assessments, which in turn would reduce revenue to local governments.
“You’re going to see the tax issue be the No. 1 issue in Florida in a presidential year,” said Gary Reese, editor of the political newsletter Florida Insider.
John McCain, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul each offer different ways to cut taxes, both in the short term to jump-start the economy and in the long run for growth. The debate starts at 9 p.m. ET on MSNBC.
How will the dynamic change without Fred Thompson? How far will Romney go to take down McCain? Furthermore, how far will Giuliani go to recapture some of his support?
Rudy has to pull something big out of his unmentionable in order to have a chance at survival in Florida. Once leading, he’s now trailing at 3rd place in a statistical tie. We’ll see how things turn out tonight.
I’m betting this will be quite the brawl as Florida will be a major decider heading into Super Tuesday, Feb. 5th.

I plan to vote for a Democrat, but I respect Mike Huckabee & appreciate his sense of humor. Kucinich is the only Democrat I would be comfortable voting for.

Mike Huckabee is the only authentic candidate out there. You shouldn’t have to have money to buy your way to the White House. We need someone like us, for us and who doesn’t say what we like to hear. Mike Huckabee would be a breath of fresh air for Americans. My thoughts on McCain, his own AZ Governor is not for him, he admittedly comes from a broken border state (what has he done for illegals coming in – ZERO), and although I am not opposed to America’s security, he is too comfortable with war. He also talks about what everyone else instead of his accountabilty. We dont need any current congressman in the Oval Office because that equals business as usual. As for Mitt, he has a silver spoon in his month and tells is a politician through and through.

I’m sorry to burst your bubble…but just because Huckabee is a minister does not make him a moral man. Frankly, I think religion in all forms is nothing more than mass insanity and a sign of man’s weak character.
That bieng said I believe most strongly in the rights of the individual and their their rights to expression – even religious. I hope that Americans will someday become enlightened enough to keep religion in the home and out of the government…but until that day vote for a man like Ron Paul who will protect your personal liberties, heal the economy, and restore respect to the U.S. in the international realm…
Oh yeah…and don’t forget he’ll get rid of the Patriot Act…the single greatest setback to the Civil Rights movement in 20 years. Bring back privacy and bring back sane decision making to our government.

It’s a sad day in America when the ideals of the Constitution are so foreign to its citizens that a patriot like Ron Paul is seen as “extreme†or “out thereâ€. He’s the only candidate on either side that actually sticks to the Constitution as his standard, as shown by his consistent voting record and bills created in Congress. No other candidate can say that their walk follows their talk. They’re all members of the Council on Foreign Relations, a group that claims “national boundaries should be obliterated and one world rule established.â€(CFR.org) These hand-picked puppets give you the appearance, with the help of the controlled media (NBC, Fox, Time Warner, Newsweek, Time are CFR-controlled), that the parties are in a struggle with one another on opposite ends of the spectrum, but once in office, have the same basic agenda of global communism.
If they are all (except Ron Paul) fundamentally flawed in the most important aspect of American principals, which the founding Fathers were so strongly convicted of, how could we entrust them with our nation? We know from history, that no matter how much lipstick you put on the communism pig, it still stinks. The CFR, along with all the other globalist, elitist entities like the U.N., the World Trade Organization, the International Monetary Fund, International Criminal Court, Trilateral Commission, the Bilderbergs, the Rockefellers, the Rothschilds, UNICEF, Greenpeace, Illuminati, NATO, NAFTA, NAU, Jesuits, the papacy, freemasons, and a whole host of others have the same agenda, to create a one world government, or new world order, unifying governments, military, economies, religions and stripping the America of its independence, freedoms, power and finances. Romney is a lying, flip-flopping Ken doll that believes that god was once a man and had spiritual sons, Jesus and lucifer (brothers?!). If you build your house on that you know its going to crumble. McCain is just a socialist liberal. Then there’s Hillary, who is Bill times two, a lying Marxist who along with Bill had over 47 close “friendsâ€, bodyguards and campaign helpers murdered through “suicides and natural causesâ€. The last contestants on American Presidential Idol are Obama and Edwards, singing “Where Have All the Stalins Gone?â€, a love ballad. We live in a “sound biteâ€, liberal media “headline†society and people are swayed so easily. Me love TV box, it tell me everything me like to know, never lies.
The basic question comes down to, “Who is your God?†Is your faith and trust in man in the form of a big brother, nanny government, or is it the God of the Bible? Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.†As Samuel Adams put it, “If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. Do yourself and the American people a favor and research each candidate on all sides of the spectrum before you commit your vote. The mainstream media is not always a perfect or unbiased medium. Sure, any form of communication (blogs, paid advertisements, etc) can foster intelligence, but please vote on what is important to you as an individual, basing your decision on principles, history, and other factors you feel confident about…not two-bit jargon, others’ opinions, or “character”.
