Here’s a little information directly from the ground in Iowa from Fox News’ Carl Cameron on Hannity & Colmes last night:

He is right, the polls are not as important as what’s on the minds of Iowa voters. With so few people voting in these caucuses it’s difficult to let the polls tell the whole story. Plus, with such a small voter turnout, if several people fail to go caucus, that could be a lot of votes lost for one candidate.

At this point, I’m leaning toward Huckabee winning Iowa on the Republican side and I think there’s a good chance Hillary can still win Iowa for the Democrats. The polls are very tight, even if they don’t matter, but there appears to be a trend toward Hillary and being this close, that may carry her over the top.

Huckabee has weakened but he’s still somewhat comfortably ahead of Romney in Iowa.
