Can the Democrats capture the religious vote in 2008?

In short, maybe a little.

Sure, there are religious voters who may be concerned about global warming more than abortion but I think they’re a lot less then you might think. However, there’s no doubt that Democrats have been tossing God around every chance they get it seems.

I’m certain some people will be swayed by Obama’s “spiritual revivals” he’s been holding all over the south. Perhaps Hillary will manage to sway some people as well but I just don’t see evangelicals voting Democrat in droves. In fact, if they do abandon Republicans because of Giuliani, they will most likely not be voting at all. In that case, Hillary wins.

  1. I’m sorry, but Christians can’t be tricked in to voting for someone who may throw a few sly words our way, democrat OR republican.
