Romney, Giuliani steal the show in Michigan

Share/Bookmark

DEARBORN, Mich. — Republicans presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani went after each other and Democratic candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton in a debate here that tested the GOP field on taxes, energy and other economic subjects.

The debate marked the debut of Republican Fred Thompson on a stage with his eight rivals. Romney welcomed him by comparing the debate to Thompson’s former role as a district attorney on NBC’s Law & Order. “It has a huge cast, the series seems to go on forever, and Fred Thompson shows up at the end.”

“To think I thought I was going to be the best actor on the stage,” Thompson said.

Hey everyone…Ron here from the Ron and Tom Show…

Does anyone think that Guiliani and Romney trading jabs at each other during the debate was just their pathetic attempt to steal the show and portray the image that they are the front runners and take away from Fred Thompson’s debut?

Just a thought!

Honestly I just think that Thompson couldn’t outshine them. He was a bit slow on the uptake. What it meant was that Thompson will have to fight for more time at the debate if he wants to make an impact, as they all do.
