That is the ultimate question:
Should she have known? Did she know? Obviously her campaign knew yet they decided to look the other way. What’s worse is that even though she is returning the $850,000 in donations, they plan on asking for it back:
WASHINGTON – Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose campaign is returning $850,000 in contributions linked to disgraced fundraiser Norman Hsu, indicated Wednesday that donors who contributed that money could donate to her presidential campaign once again.
“We’re not asking that that be done,” she said in a teleconference with reporters. “But I believe that the vast majority of those 200-plus donors are perfectly capable of making up their own minds about what they will or won’t do going forward.”
You have got to be kidding me. So if Hillary returns the donations which were funneled in from Hsu, then the people re-donate it back to Clinton, that makes it clean? I can’t believe her campaign is actually willing to take funds yet again from the same people who defrauded her already.
Clinton’s campaign said this week that any donors whose money was returned could donate once again if they confirm to the campaign that the contributions are from their own personal funds.
How much you want to bet almost none of them will not donate again and will not be confirming that new donations are their own money? This is mainly because most of them are part of Hsu’s money laundering scheme.
For shame Hillary, for shame. Apparently the Clinton’s fund raising practices haven’t change since the 90s.
