  8. I remember that day it was so horrible. Never forget those who lost their lives and those who sacrifced their own lives to help others survive. That day showed us all what a true hero is and how america can stand unitified and proud. Even in our deepest grief. Thank you to those and my heart is with the ones who lost loved ones. I may not know there names but they are in my prayers.

  9. I live in Indiana, and I remember to this day, the way I felt when I first saw the pictures of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I remember what my husband and I were doing when we heard and saw the footage, and what we did for the rest of the day. Both my husband and I feel great sadness when we see the footage and remember the day. Along with the following months of searching for survivors, bodies, and the cleanup efforts. I was also very sad when the body of the Port Authority dog was found, and I felt he deserved to be carried out on a stretcher with the American flag draped over him. He gave his life just like anyone else. My husband and I will never forget that day and the way Americans bonded together to help their fellow American.
God Bless America!!! God Bless the Firefighters, Police, Emergency Workers, and the Search and Rescue Groups with their dogs!!!!!

  20. God, please bless our military and thank you for them! Please bring peace to those who lost loved ones in the sept. 11 attacks and be with all of America while we will never forget. Please help us to learn and forgive as well as be strong and supportive. God, we need strength even though it’s been many years since those filled with hate have killed many innocent people in our country and we would like to thank you for your love as well as pray for you to give us the ability to learn that we should never take one day for granted. Please give us the wisdom to understand that each day could be our last and to treat others with mercy and kindness. Amen

  27. After seeing this again, so many years later, how can anyone question whether we did and continue to do the right thing in the Middle East? Blaming George Bush is wrong. We were all caught with our pants down that day. Wanting to persecute people for waterboarding is silly. Waterboarding saved a lot of lives that day and the days following. We need to be ever vigilant that this never happens again!

  29. i was watching the news when the 2nd plane hit and i cried so hard for all those people. someone who was making a difference and whose lives ended too soon. moms, dads, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters. even grandparents. and then the stories of firefighters and police and paramedics who lost their lives trying to save the lives of thousands of people. i still cry to this day thinking about all the families who lost loved ones all because someone was pissed off at our government and took it out on innocent bystanders.

  31. I dont think we need to just remember on the specific day this happened. I remember sitting in class in high school. I saw the first plane hit and tears rolled down my face. I left school that day with this empty feeling. Our would collapsed that day. Sitting on the floor i looked up to the sky and it was the most beautiful weather. it should have rained that day. the feeling i am sure we all had these passing years will never be competely gone. We as americans will never forget the pain we went thru or the lives we lost that horrific day. I believe we are now stronger because of this tragedy. Bless Every single american no matter ur background. War is not the answer. We were hurt so causeing more pain is the answer? America needs closure on this topic.

  35. Beneath the smoke inhaling the flames

people are dying with unknown names

    Disaster was the final master

running, crying, jumping out of windows

    no time for laughter

    Oh America, Great America

    Will this bring us together?

    Surprising innocence of death

    Not even being expected yet

One tragic incident never to forget

The pain, the mess, Can we handle it?

    Love is being wasted

    Taken place by hatred

    Giving is apart no more

Is Devastation what we’re living for?

    More Crime!! More Crime!!

Stricken by the clock of time

How many more lives must die?

    leaving parentless children to cry

Oh my father in heaven I ask Oh Why?

Do we live in a world of the fiery eye

    Wickedness, Wickedness

    has brought on emptiness

    Terror, Terror

    has become a dangerous warrior

By a sick twisted individual slayer

Can we now as a people awake?

    For the W.T.C.’s loud quake.

  39. Hey all….

Reading all the things that people have Writen has made me cry….. I left New york in 2002 and have not really been back as i really dont want to see the place where so many lives where lost and the one i loved. Me and my wife worked in them I was in the South Tower and my wife in the North. I heard the news and as people were talking about it the office and the first thing i thought was my wife ok. I had to leave and try and find her. She was on the 105th floor i was leaving the build when the second plane hit. I never found my wife. She died that day and we only got married in july. Now i live in australia and have always paid no attention to what is happening with the Trade centers site. I have heard they were building a new tower to replace it. The freedom tower but that was awhile ago now.. and as someone said

THEY CAN OUR TWINS…….. BUT THEY WILL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM…….

I agree….. WE ARE AMERICAN AND WE STILL HAVE OUR FREEDOM……

LET ALL THE PEOPLE WHO DIED THAT RIP AND LET GOD BE WITH ALL THE PEOPLE LOST LOVED ONES

LOVE YOU KATE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH…….. HAPPY 27TH TO DAY IF YOU WERE STILL HERE….XOXOXOX
